Road communications in Georgia this summer covered the full range: a project finishing well enough to win a national award, a two-week interstate closure, a signal that slipped its start date, and a lane shift that had to be walked back. What connects the good ones is that the update arrives before residents notice the discrepancy themselves.

“We are proud to share that the Canal Road and Glynco Parkway Roundabout has been named the 2026 Project of the Year in the Transportation $5–$25 Million category by the American Public Works Association. The roundabout was completed in October 2025 and replaces an intersection that had long been difficult for drivers because of its sharp angle and heavy traffic.” The move: Explained what the roundabout fixed — a sharp-angle intersection — rather than just reporting the award. The comments turned into requests for the same treatment elsewhere.

THE PATTERN TO BORROW
Timestamp the change, keep the original visible. Two moves are worth copying. Update in place, with a time — Canton stamps its delay ‘Aug. 10 at 8 AM’ and leaves the superseded notice underneath, so nobody has to guess which version is current. And connect the project to its authorisation: Roswell names the voter-approved TSPLOST 2 in the same breath as the $9.48 million, and Glynn County explains the geometry problem the roundabout was built to solve.
